This work is an attempt to highlight the socio-economic conditions of Minbu District through the research on the civil law cases and criminal law sase took place within the district. Since the days of Myanmar Kings, Minibus was a significant town. In 1886, the British Government undertook pacification as a top priority and Minbu became a district town. The discussion in made on the administration, jurisdiction and tax collection of Minbu Region. It is also discussed how the civil administration was carried out by means of British jurisdiction and, how the British Government issued orders and announcements dealt with jurisdiction. To examine the judicial administration of Minbu, all types of primary documents and reliable secondary materials are used in this research. PhD University of Mandalay 2012
