It is systematically approached and investigated from every viewpoint, to wit political and administrative viewpoint, economic or revenue viewpoint and judiciary viewpoint so that the whole societal panoramic view could be clearly seen. Sometimes and in some places comparisons are also made between the native rule and the alien rule. Major purpose of this research is to see the imperialistic nature deep inside its administration. In brief, what one can see in British administration is the colonial government's efforts to transform the whole of Myanmar society into a sole agrarian society producing more rice and other crops to feed other colonial people living in the British Empire. Moreover, they also wanted Myanmar people to thank the colonial masters as good and just administrators. That we could have lived peacefully was due to their benevolent rule and on the contrary, what the people really saw is that they wanted to be liberated from the yoke of colonialism. Later on, nationalism took root in the hearts of Myanmar people which led to regaining of independence; Included bibliography; Introduction Chapters 1.
