Dissertation note This study investigates the contemporary history of the translation of Tipitaka scriptures into the Pa-O Language by the Pa-O Pitaka Association. The translation project started in 2011 and is an ongoing process. This dissertation aims to highlight the rewarded endeavors of the Pa-O Pitaka Association and to make a documentary on the history of translating Tipitaka scriptures into the Pa-O Language in English. In this dissertation, it discusses the background of translating Tipitaka scriptures into the Pa-O Language, focusing on the idea of translation, and how the association is organized including assigning tasks and raising funds. Moreover, the approaches to the translation by the translators, challenges that occurred in the translation period, and the process of publication are discussed. Besides, it discusses the further schedule of the Pa-O Pitaka Association and the implications of Pa-O Tipitaka scriptures on the Pa-O community. Finally, the difficulties faced by the Pa-O Pitaka Association during the translation process are discussed.
