Dissertation note: Abstract - Firstly, this Independent Study Project (ISP) explores how buddhist principles, four means of sustaining favorable relationship, known as sangaha vatthu, serves as foundation for socail harmony. Next, this sangaha vatthu is mentioned in sangaha sutta in Anguttara Nikaya. It is made up of four key elements, namely generosity (dana), loving speech (piya vaca), beneifcial conduct (atthacariya), and imparitiality (samanattata). Finally, this ISP examine the individual elements of four means of sustaining favorable relationship in context of their valuable contribution to social interaction. Abstract - Firstly, this Independent Study Project (ISP) explores how buddhist principles, four means of sustaining favorable relationship, known as sangaha vatthu, serves as foundation for socail harmony. Next, this sangaha vatthu is mentioned in sangaha sutta in Anguttara Nikaya. It is made up of four key elements, namely generosity (dana), loving speech (piya vaca), beneifcial conduct (atthacariya), and imparitiality (samanattata). Finally, this ISP examine the individual elements of four means of sustaining favorable relationship in context of their valuable contribution to social interaction.
