Abstract - This research aims to explore the students' dropout rates from the new curriculum of the Pariyattisadhammapala Examination Board of the Shan State Sangha Council from 2021 to 2025, alongside with the causes behind the dropout rates, Moreover, it identified each of the reasons that contribute to the dropout rates. Additionally, it also highlighted some of the progress of a new curriculum offered by the Shan State Sangha Education Committee (SSSCEC). This research was initially carried out through empirical research based on the student dropout rate from a new curriculum of SSSCEC, a critical issue that needs to be solved urgently. Even though SSSCEC has encountered high dropout rates in most townships, this study project only selected ten highly dropout townships out of the 36. Therefore, it would be beneficial for SSSCEC if further research continues to explore the left of the townships dropout rates. I conducted an exploratory aurvey of the opinions of the two main participant groups: the senior monk's group and the student participant's group, who are enthusiastic about a new curriculum, as well as the senior monk group. On the other hand, the student involved in this study project have been simultaneously following since the beginning of the new curriculum in 2021. Therefore, it can be considered that both groups have sufficient information in order to know the reasons for the student dropout rates. By doing this, the project will enhance and contribute to the Pariyattisaddhammapala Examination Board in order to maintain that critical issue. M.A Thesis Shan State Buddhist University 2025
